A Bit About “44 Pieces”: This song captures themes of passion, secret love, and mystery, transporting listeners to a different era and place. It’s part of my new album, Unfocused Freedom, which is deeply personal to me. The album was inspired by a treasure trove of over ten thousand poems and plays written by my grandfather, Irwin Robert Shaw, a New York-based psychologist and poet who passed away before I was born. His exploration of the human inner voice has profoundly influenced my music.

His pieces, collected from markets around the world, are showcased alongside the poems, creating a nostalgic and visually rich narrative. The video portrays a naive, simple love story from a bygone era—a story that many of us wish we could experience today. This blend of music, poetry, and vintage jewelry crafts a heartfelt and timeless aesthetic.
